Resources for Art and Design Students
CMU's Department of Art and Design majors are built to help give you the perspective and experience required to pursue a career in the visual arts. Foundational coursework will provide you with a firsthand understanding of the principles of art and a critical perspective of art in practice and as a profession.
Scholarships
We are committed to helping you invest in your future. That’s why we offer a variety of scholarship awards at both the university and department levels. This includes four scholarships that are available to incoming freshmen and transfer students!
Transfer guide
More than 1,500 students transfer to Central Michigan University each year from community colleges and other accredited universities and colleges. Transfer students are a top priority at CMU. If you would like more information about the transfer process, click the link below.
