As a journalism student at Central Michigan University, you'll have access to state-of-the-art labs with the most updated graphic software, a conference room and a study area.
State-of-the-art Caponigro Multimedia Lab (Moore 424)
- Exclusive use of the lab for classes in photography, writing, designing, and newsgathering.
- Shared space with the art department in Moore labs, Wightman labs and studios.
Media resource room (Moore 444)
- Serves students with computers, TV and reading materials.
- An ideal space for students to catch up on homework, peruse the media or relax.
- Serves as the headquarters for Grand Central, the online e-zine that journalism students produce.
Conference room (Moore 445)
- Contains a small collection of journalism-related books as well as current and back issues of trade and scholarly publications.
- For seminars and meetings, the room contains the necessary equipment, a table, chairs, and a projector.
CM Life office
- Although not a formal part of the department, CM Life and Grand Central magazine are student publications that are an important part of a journalism student's experience.
