- Build networking and communication skills .
- Travel for immersive learning experiences and to visit professional sites.

- Grow alongside a cohort of students with shared experiences.
The program combines challenge, support and real-world exposure that prepares you for internships, careers and leadership opportunities.
Designed for first-generation students
The Queller Leadership Scholars Program was created to support first-generation students—students whose parents did not attend college—as they navigate college, leadership development and career preparation.
The program was established through the support of alumni David Queller ’91 and Penny Queller ’91, who wanted to help students build community, confidence and opportunity during their time at CMU.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Declared major within the College of Business Administration.
- Admission to the CBA Leadership Development Program.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
Applications for the Queller Leadership Scholars Program typically open early in the spring semester, with interviews conducted later in the semester.
