Business Residential College in Trout Hall

Live and learn in community with fellow business majors. Our Business Residential College gives you the chance to connect with classmates and mentors who share your career interests.

As a BRC resident, you’ll take classes with fellow residents and engage in study groups and professional development opportunities. You’ll also enjoy the following perks:

  • Engage with business faculty at special dinners.
  • Work with the BRC advisor to create a detailed road map for your degree.
  • Develop your leadership skills through team-building and networking events.

The Business Residential College is located in Trout Hall, which offers two-bedroom suites shared by four or five people and private bathrooms.


To join our Business Residential College, you will need to demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred). Additional requirements include:

  • Attend Leadership Safari, a three-day experience for new students before the academic year begins.
  • Attend BRC Orientation prior to the start of classes.
  • Complete BUS 109 Collegiate Success for Business Students, BUS 100 Essential Business Skills, and a math or statistics course during the fall semester.
  • Meet with our business advisor to create a detailed academic degree plan.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to positive and respectful behaviors in the living and learning community.
