On behalf of the Sarah R. Opperman Leadership Institute and the CMU community, we would like to welcome you to Central Michigan University! Leadership Safari is the flagship co-curricular program of the Sarah R. Opperman Leadership Institute and a beloved CMU tradition.

Leadership Safari 2023

Leadership Safari is a three-day conference designed for new students to learn about themselves, leadership and CMU. You will join a small team led by a Safari Guide. Together, teams will attend lectures, complete a challenge course, participate in evening entertainment, and talk about their college and life goals. Leadership Safari is the perfect way to make CMU feel like home!

Leadership Safari takes place in August. There is a $100 registration fee (the fee is waived for students with demonstrated financial need).
