Lean Six Sigma is a management approach that improves performance and eliminates waste of physical resources, time, effort, and talent. CMU offers two Lean Six Sigma certifications for undergraduates and graduate students:

  • Green Belt Certification: a three-credit course or workshop that develops your project management, problem-solving, and analytic skills and prepares you for a successful career.
  • Yellow Belt Certification: a workshop that introduces you to project management methodology and problem-solving tools. This certification is also included in the BUS 639 Course.

Green Belt certification

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification illustrates that you have developed the project management, problem-solving, and analytic skills that employers are looking for. This certification is highly valued by recruiters and could be the key to landing your dream job.
