| Details: | The School of Music is proud to announce our annual partnership with Michigan Kodaly Educators on Saturday, November 21st, 2026 in MU 157! What is Michigan Kodaly Educators?The Michigan Kodaly Educators (MiKE) is a music education group re-formed in 2014. Formerly known as the Southeast Michigan Kodaly Educators (SEMKE) which shut down years prior, MiKE has been working to provide workshops and Kodaly Levels Training for Michigan music education professionals over the entirety of the state. MiKE is a chapter of the Midwest Region of the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE). While the emphasis of the group is on Kodaly-Inspired teaching, all the workshops and sessions apply to any music education philosophy, and the chapter works regularly with other Michigan music education groups and he Michigan Music Education Association. Chapter workshops are available to non-members and members alike, although members receive a discounted workshop fee. Save the date! More info soon! |
