Assurance of Learning

At the College of Business Administration, we don’t leave student success to chance. We measure it, evaluate it and continuously improve it.

Assurance of Learning is the process we use to make sure you are developing the knowledge and skills needed for your career. It connects what we teach, how we assess learning and how we improve your experience over time and it’s a key part of our accreditation through AACSB International.

How the process works

Assurance of Learning focuses on the core skills every graduate should have, including:

  • Data analysis
  • Oral communication
  • Written communication
  • Problem solving

You will build and demonstrate these skills throughout your program through coursework, projects and presentations.

Faculty assess student work using shared rubrics, review the results and make updates where needed that strengthen courses, assignments and learning experiences. Then the cycle repeats.

Why it matters

Assurance of Learning ensures your education stays aligned with industry expectations and evolving business needs. It also holds us accountable. Accreditation standards from AACSB International require clear evidence that students are achieving learning goals and we use that same data to improve your experience.

Even if you never hear the term, you see the results in stronger courses, clearer expectations and more relevant, career-focused learning.

What this means for you

You graduate with:

  • Skills that are measured and strengthened over time.
  • Learning experiences aligned with employer expectations.
  • A degree backed by continuous improvement.

You’re not just completing courses; we’re making sure you’re building capability.
