SAP Lab
The SAP Lab gives you the opportunity to collaborate, experiment, test ideas and explore how technology can solve real business challenges. Whether you're working with enterprise systems, automation tools, data or connected devices, the lab provides a place to move beyond theory and learn through hands-on experience.
As part of our SAP University Alliance, the lab supports projects, competitions and experiential learning opportunities that help students understand how technology connects every part of a business.
Learning by doing
The SAP Lab is designed for collaboration, experimentation and innovation. You'll use the lab to explore enterprise technology, prototype solutions, support research projects and gain experience working with the kinds of tools organizations use every day.
In the SAP Lab, you have opportunities to:
- Explore enterprise systems and business processes.
- Experiment with automation and connected technologies.
- Support research and applied learning projects.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry partners.
- Develop solutions to real-world business challenges.
- Build technical and professional confidence through hands-on experience.
Many students encounter these concepts in the classroom first. The lab provides a space to apply them.
Project spotlight: Managing inventory in real time
One of the concepts you'll explore in the lab is how organizations monitor inventory and respond to changing supply conditions.
Using sensors, connected devices and SAP technologies, students can model how inventory levels are tracked and how information moves throughout an organization when supplies begin to run low.
These concepts connect directly to experiences like ERPsim, where teams must balance inventory, production, transportation costs and changing market conditions while managing a virtual company. By seeing how data flows through a business, students gain a deeper understanding of the decisions that drive performance.
