Makerbot Innovation Center
The Makerbot Innovation Center at Central Michigan University allows students to create, design, and experiment with 3D printing. Departments that teach classes that utilize 3D printing include Art and Design, Fashion and Merchandise Design, Interior Design, and others. The Makerbot Innovation Center is used to aid in research and creative endeavors by departments such as Anthropology, Biology, Engineering, and Theatre and Dance.
CMU is the first to have a Makerbot Innovation Lab in the Midwest.

Use of the Makerbot Innovation Center is available to all current students, faculty, and staff. Printing costs are 15¢ a gram.
The Makerbot Innovation Center is a joint effort undertaken by the Office of the Provost, College of the Arts and Media and the College of Education and Human Services.
