Our students are at it again! CMU Summer Theatre is taking two productions on the road and performing at Beaver Island Community Center in Beaver Island, MI and The Playhouse at White Lake in Whitehall, MI, thanks to a generous contribution from CMU Summer Theatre alum, Larry Joe Campbell (According to Jim).
To showcase their musical and dance talent, this year’s students have collaborated on creating a musical theatre cabaret titled Summer: A Theatre Cabaret, in addition to performing The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
Company member Kaeleigh Casavant commented on the benefits of performing with the Summer Theatre. “Getting to tour with the Summer Theatre Company, I’ve learned a lot about the jobs and duties that are involved in taking and adapting shows to different theatrical environments. It has been a rewarding experience to learn the inner workings of how a touring company functions.”
To kick off our fall season, there will be two more opportunities to catch each show when the company returns to campus September 8-11, 2022!
