Tune in Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. for great ideas and fierce competition. Then, join the judges, mentors, spectators and teams as they see who is going home with thousands of dollars in venture financing. The awards broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. and one team will walk away as the overall best venture.
Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration is the home of the Isabella Bank Institute for Entrepreneurship and the first Department of Entrepreneurship in the state of Michigan. We are a student-centric hub where experiential, curricular, and external entrepreneurial opportunities intersect.
Our mission is to maximize student success by fostering a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset that promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new ventures.
We aim to create innovative programming, boost cross-campus and ecosystem collaboration and provide a comprehensive mentoring program.
Our institute provides extracurricular opportunities and is open to all undergraduate and graduate CMU students.

Dr. Jodi Brookins-Fisher, Public Health professor in the School of Health Sciences within The Herbert H. & Grace A Dow College of Health Professions (CHP), was elected to the National Board of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) beginning March 20, 2024. Dr. Brookins-Fisher will serve as a Trustee, At-Large for a two-year term.
SOPHE is a nonprofit, professional organization that represents a diverse membership of health promotion and health education professionals and students internationally. Its vision—a healthy world through health education—is pertinent within CHP, as educators like Dr. Brookins-Fisher provide education to enhance the skills of students to build healthy lifestyles and communities.
Dr. Brookins-Fisher has been a member of SOPHE since 1996 and has been a Health Education Specialist for more than for thirty years. “I’m super excited to contribute as a board member in the national organization that I’ve considered my professional home for 35 years. This is an opportunity to keep CMU students connected to those at every level within our profession,” stated Dr. Brookins-Fisher.
