Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions offers undergraduate degrees, certificate programs and graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines. Our programs incorporate interactive classroom learning with research opportunities, clinical experiences and internships to prepare you to succeed in the health professions. Whether you want to provide health care to others or lead change within health care, we have the program for you.

Prevention of obesity and diabetes across the lifespan

The Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions is pleased to welcome Dr. Stella Volpe, Department Head and Professor in the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise at Virginia Tech, as the featured speaker for the Richard B. Parr Endowed Clinical Exercise Lecture Series.

In her presentation, Prevention of Obesity and Diabetes across the Lifespan, Dr. Volpe will explore current research and evidence-based strategies for reducing the risk of obesity and diabetes through nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle behaviors. This engaging lecture will highlight approaches to promoting health across all stages of life and addressing two of today's most significant public health challenges. Students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and community members are invited to attend.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
