Summer speech-language specialty clinics
Summer Speech-Language Specialty Clinics (SSC) 2026 will mark our 80th year on CMU's campus. We are excited to continue to offer this unique opportunity to our students studying speech-language pathology and families seeking intensive summer speech and language intervention for their children.
Clinics are offered by the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to provide quality clinical education to our students, evidence-based clinical services to clients, outreach and collaboration with community social, health and educational partners, and support clinical research.
Location:
- Childhood Development & Learning Laboratory at the College of Education and Human Services building.
Dates:
- June 30-July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday, with the last day of camp on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Sessions:
Campers must be 3 years old by July 1st and must not have turned 14 by July 1st to be eligible for camp.
- Children 3 to 9 years of age.
- 9:00 a.m.—noon and 1:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m. sessions.
- Children 10 to 14 years of age.
- Half day 9:00 a.m.—noon or 1:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m. sessions.
- Full day 9:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. is an option.
Cost:
- $700 for half-day sessions.
- $1400 for full-day sessions.

The 2026 Summer Speech-Language Specialty Clinics are open. We are accepting applications through May 1, 2026.
