Global Classroom

The Global Classroom (GC) program allows college-aged individuals living at a refugee camp in Africa to join online classes giving CMU students the opportunity to interact with refugees and learn about life in a refugee camp. By allowing displaced persons to take classes alongside CMU students, the GC provides a rare opportunity for college-age refugees to access higher education and to exchange ideas, cultures and lived experiences with their American counterparts. The program is being implemented in partnership with a 501(c) non-governmental organization called Refugee Outreach Collective (ROC), which has a chapter at CMU. Learn more about GC by visiting the Global Classroom - Refugee Outreach Collective website.
