 1.  Application Deadline

The application deadline for our Fall 2018 AuD Program is January 15, 2018.

ALL applicants must apply ONLY to CSDCAS​​​​, an online application service.  Do not apply to CMU's College of Graduate Studies.  The CSDCAS student portal launch date for the 2018 application cycle is August 2, 2017.  If you start the process prior to the launch date, your information will be deleted when they update the portal for the 2018 application cycle.  

2.  Supplemental Fee/Form 

ALL applicants must submit our Supplemental  Fee/Form.  Click here​​ to download the form, print it, and fill in the information requested.  Mailing instructions are noted at the bottom of the form.

3.  Letters of Recommendation

Three letters of recommendation are required.    

4.  Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

ALL applicants are required to take the GRE, and your scores must be sent direclty from ETS to CSDCAS, as we no longer accept paper copies.  To submit your GRE scores electronically, provide ETS with CMU's code: 0742.

No other test scores are accepted in lieu of the GRE.  Any applicant with GRE scores five years or older must retake the exam.

5.  Foreign Evaluation Agencies Accepted:  ECE, WES, or Josef Silny and Associates, Inc. 

Coursework taken at international institutions (from non-English speaking countries) must be evaluated by ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.), WES (World Education Services), or Josef Silny and Associates, Inc. Official transcripts and an official course-by-course foreign evaluation must be sent directly to CSDCAS from the school and the evaluation agency.  Canadian students are exempt from this requirement.

6.  TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

All prospective students who are not citizens of a TOEFL-exempt country must submit a satisfactory test score on the TOEFL or IELTS. Score requirements: 79 or 6.5 on the TOEFL/IELTS for regular admission, 61-78 or 5.5 and 6.0 for conditional admission. All internaional students are required to submit to CMU an I-20 Affidavit/Statement of Support form, along with evidence of financial support.  Contact the College of Graduate Studies for more information. Note:  I-20 information is not required at the time of application; however, if you are offered a position in the program and you accept the offer, you will then have to provide your I-20 documentation.
