CentralCard Assistance

If you are having problems with your card:

  1. Make sure your CentralCard has a Contactless Capable symbol in the lower right corner on the back. If not, you will need a replacement card.

  2. Try pressing and holding your card flat against the reader for a few seconds.
  3. If your card makes the light turn green on the reader but does not unlock the door, please put in a helpdesk ticket to get your card settings updated.

  4. If your card does nothing at all at the CentralCard reader, you will need to get a replacement card.
    • To replace a CentralCard: visit the CentralCard Office at 209 Bovee University Center, Monday - Friday
      8 am - 5 pm. Replacement cards may take up to 24 hours to become active in the system.

    • The main library is open to the public and does not require CentralCards to use. Printing is available on all floors of the Library. Visit library.cmich.edu to learn more about Park Libraries' hours of operation.
  5.  If you are not currently enrolled in classes and are not a current employee, your CentralCard will not open the door.
