The American College Personnel Association Foundation has named Central Michigan University educational leadership faculty member Anne Hornak a 2019 Diamond Honoree.
“This is terrific news and a testament to Anne’s ongoing willingness to serve the profession,” said Elizabeth Kirby, interim dean of the College of Education and Human Services.
Hornak, who joined CMU in 2009, teaches courses in theories, ethics, student affairs administration and social justice. She earned her Ph.D. in higher education administration at Michigan State University.
A member of ACPA since 1997, Hornak has served the organization as state president, commission directorate member, faculty in residence, coordinator of faculty research grant and more.
ACPA will recognize Hornak and other honorees at a ceremony March 5 in Boston.
The Diamond Honoree program, established by the ACPA Foundation in 1999, is a recognition program and fundraiser. Nominees are recognized for their outstanding and sustained contributions to higher education and to student affairs.
