Robotic Surgery Simulator

daVinci_IVRobotic surgery is becoming an important mainstay in minimally invasive surgery. In robotic surgery, operating “arms” are placed in the patient through small ports, and the surgeon then sits at a separate control panel to perform the actual surgery. This is a uniquely different surgical technique that requires substantial training outside of the traditional surgical approaches. Our lab now has a da Vinci robotic trainer that allows learners to develop these highly important, highly technical skills.
