College of Medicine Professional Development
Health care professionals from across the region take advantage of a variety of professional development and networking opportunities offered by the College of Medicine. Development opportunities range from formal training for continued certification for health care professionals – to nationally recognized expert speakers – to collaborative efforts with external partners.
These events add value to student’s education, resident’s training and to the rich professional relationships our faculty and staff maintain with state and regional health care organizations, agencies, community partners, corporations and the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
Expert Speakers and Regional Forums
Leading national experts on a variety of education, medical and community health issues regularly present to groups within the College. These events are often open to members of other Colleges, partner health care organizations and area physicians. The College also hosts annual forums for leaders across the state of Michigan to gather and discuss critical issues such as opioid addiction, pain management and mental health.
