Street Medicine
In collaboration with CMU College of Medicine faculty and
our first- through fourth-year medical student volunteers, we launched
CMU Street Medicine. We are happy to invite you to partner with us in
magnifying our collective impact in serving our in-need community
members.
Services and mission
CMU Street Medicine is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality health services to underserved, homeless and rough-sleeping communities. Our mission is to cultivate direct engagement in their living spaces, bridging crucial gaps in health care and social support. We prioritize long-lasting and genuine connections built on empathy, companionship, and respect, recognizing that our impact is defined by our actions.
Our team
Since our establishment in 2018, CMU Street Medicine has evolved in a positive trajectory. We take great pride in the diversity of our team, each member contributing their unique experiences and skills to drive our success forward.
Our organization provides invaluable opportunities for CMU College of Medicine students at every stage of their medical education journey to actively engage, take on leadership roles and make a meaningful impact within our community. Applications for positions open in early spring every year.
