French Study Abroad in World Languages and Cultures

Scholarships for French study abroad
Our department offers several scholarships to help fund your French studies abroad. Amounts vary by year and by the number of applications.
- Gilles Labrie Scholarship (French majors): $300-$600 (depending on length of stay)
- Edana Duguay Scholarship (French majors or minors): $300-$600 (depending on length of stay)
- Groen Award (students staying with a family; homestay not dorm)
In addition, the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences offers additional scholarships:
- CLASS Study Abroad Grant
- Dr. Pamela Sue Gates Study Abroad Award

Finally, the Office of International Engagement offers several scholarships:
- OGE Study Abroad Scholarship: up to $4,000 for semester-long programs and up to $1,000 for summer programs
- OGE Global Learning Scholarship: up to $4,000 for semester-long programs and up to $1,000 for summer programs
