Master of Health Administration

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) prepares executives and senior staff for healthcare institutions and organizations. Delivered 100% online in eight-week course sessions, with live lectures and real-time interaction with professors via Microsoft Teams, not simply pre-recorded content, the program serves working professionals, career changers, and new graduates from almost anywhere in the world. Admission is built on access: a 2.70 GPA floor, no GRE, and no prerequisite professional experience.

The modernized curriculum keeps the program's 45-hour footprint and rebuilds what's inside it. Thirteen didactic courses span administration and ethics, operations, law and compliance, health economics and policy, finance and accounting, payment systems and value-based care, human resources, informatics and quality improvement, social determinants of health, strategic management and marketing, organizational behavior, and a two-course analytics sequence built on evergreen competencies rather than passing tools.

Every student completes a supervised practicum, and every student finishes with a capstone, a client-based consulting project or a thesis, taken as the final course of the graduating term. The MHA sits within CMU's full continuum of health administration education: an AUPHA-certified undergraduate major, graduate certificates in International Health and Health Systems Leadership, and the Doctor of Health Administration.
