Tune in Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. for great ideas and fierce competition. Then, join the judges, mentors, spectators and teams as they see who is going home with thousands of dollars in venture financing. The awards broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. and one team will walk away as the overall best venture.

Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration is the home of the Isabella Bank Institute for Entrepreneurship and the first Department of Entrepreneurship in the state of Michigan. We are a student-centric hub where experiential, curricular, and external entrepreneurial opportunities intersect.

Our mission is to maximize student success by fostering a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset that promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new ventures.

We aim to create innovative programming, boost cross-campus and ecosystem collaboration and provide a comprehensive mentoring program.

Our institute provides extracurricular opportunities and is open to all undergraduate and graduate CMU students.

U.S. News & World Report ranks CMU among 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools

Central Michigan University has been ranked among the 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools in four disciplines by U.S. News & World Report.

The six CMU graduate programs ranked for excellence include:

Designed for prospective students looking to further their education beyond a four-year degree, the Best Graduate Schools rankings evaluate programs in a variety of disciplines. U.S. News collects graduate school data annually and presents figures related to enrollment, job placement, faculty and other indicators that can help prospective students make informed decisions.

“CMU takes pride in the excellence of education we provide to our graduate students,” said Brad Swanson, director of graduate studies. “The recognition of our programs, spanning across three colleges within the university, emphasizes the breadth and quality of programs at CMU, and underscores the excellence of our faculty and students.”

This past fall, CMU ranked fourth among Michigan public colleges and universities in the 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report best colleges rankings.
