    • I-20 - No need to submit unless you have been offered/accepted into the program

1.  Application Deadline

The application deadline for our Summer II 2022 SLP Program is January 15, 2022.

All applicants must apply ONLY to CSDCAS, an online application service. Do not apply to CMU's College of Graduate Studies. The CSDCAS student portal launch date for the 2022 application cycle is scheduled for July 15, 2021.

2.  Supplemental Fee

Log onto our payment portal to pay your fee. Please note that your fee payment must be received by CMU no later than 1/15/2022 for your application to be considered eligible for review. 

3.  Letters of Recommendation

Three letters of recommendation are required.  

4.  ECE, WES, Josef Silney & Associates, Inc., or Spantran (Course-by-Course Evaluation) 

Coursework taken at international institutions (from non-English speaking countries) must be evaluated by ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.), WES (World Education Services),  Josef Silney and Associates, Inc., or Spantran. Official transcripts and an official course-by-course evaluation must be sent directly from the service to CSDCAS. Canadian students are not required to provide a foreign evaluation.

5.  TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

All prospective students who are not citizens of a TOEFL-exempt country must submit a satisfactory test score on the TOEFL or IELTS. Score requirements: 79 or 6.5 on the TOEFL/IELTS for regular admission, 61-78 or 5.5 and 6.0 for conditional admission. For more information on TOEFL requirements, please reference our Graduate Bulletin.

6.  I-20

International students are also required to submit to CMU an I-20 Affidavit/Statement of Support form, along with evidence of financial support.  For more information, contact the College of Graduate Studies.  I-20 information is not required at the time of application.  However, if you are offered a position in the program and you accept, you will then have to provide your I-20 documentation.
