1. Application Deadline
The application deadline for our Summer II 2017 SLP Program is January 15, 2017.
ALL applicants must apply ONLY to CSDCAS, an online application service. Do not apply to CMU's College of Graduate Studies. The CSDCAS student portal launch date is 8/2/2016 for the 2017 application cycle. Three letters of recommendation are required. Two of the recommendations must come from CDO faculty.
2. Supplemental Application and Fee
ALL applicants are required to submit our Supplemental Application and Fee. Click here to download and complete the application on your computer as it will automatically calculate your GPA. Any Supplemental Application completed by hand will be returned to the applicant. Fee and mailing instructions are noted on the last page of the spreadsheet.
3. Letters of Recommendation
Three letters of recommendation are required. Of the 3 required, 2 must come from CDO/CSD faculty that had you in his/her class.
4. Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
ALL applicants are required to take the GRE, and your scores must be sent directly from ETS to CSDCAS, as we no longer accept paper copies. To insure your scores are sent electronically, provide ETS with our code: 0742 Central MI U CSDCAS.
5. ECE, WES, or Josef Silney & Associates, Inc. (Course-by-Course Evaluation)
Coursework taken at international institutions (from non-English speaking countries) must be evaluated by ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.), WES (World Education Services), or Josef Silney and Associates, Inc. Official transcripts and an official course-by-course evaluation must be sent directly from the service to CSDCAS and to the College of Health Professions, CHP Admissions Office, HPB 1212, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48859. Canadian students are not required to provide a foreign evaluation; however, they are required to send to the College of Health Professions their official transcripts.
6. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
All prospective students who are not citizens of a TOEFL-exempt country must submit a satisfactory test score on the TOEFL or IELTS. Score requirements: 79 or 6.5 on the TOEFL/IELTS for regular admission, 61-78 or 5.5 and 6.0 for conditional admission. For more information on TOEFL requirements, please reference our Graduate Bulletin.
International students are also required to submit to CMU an I-20 Affidavit/Statement of Support form, along with evidence of financial support. For more information, contact the College of Graduate Studies. I-20 information is not required at the time of application. However, if you are offered a position in the program and you accept, you will then have to provide your I-20 documenation.
