Educator Scholar Program
Gain Experience
Be a scholar and assist with outreach programs and workshops for students from Pre-Kindergarten-12th grade. Join a cohort of fellow undergrads- together you'll develop a strong understanding of best practices to integrate STEM subjects into your future classroom.

Earn While You Learn
You're eligible to receive up to $2,260, which includes:
- $1,000 academic award
- Enrollment in Leadership Safari
- Annual membership in a national math or science association
- Opportunities to attend national conferences
- Housing in a Residential College
- Four co-ed floors of Sweeney Hall.
- Two-bedroom suite shared by four or five people
- Single beds and a private bathroom per suite
- Accessible accommodations available

Potential STEM Education Scholars are expected to have:
- SAT scores at or above 530 (math) and 480 (writing).
- GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Completed STEM Education Scholar Application

Current CMU Students
Program Requirements
Potential STEM Education Scholars are expected to have:
- Current GPA 2.8 (same as admission to Teacher Education)
- Reference from CMU Staff or Faculty member
- Completed STEM Education Scholar Application
