Adventure Seminars should be on every adventurer's list of things "to do" at Central Michigan University. Immerse yourself in unique and fun challenges that will give you a new outlook on yourself. Enhance your team's morale and build confidence, leadership, and trust with our team-building activities. You'll discover that the impact is astounding.

Begin your higher adventure

Rock climbing wall

Our rock climbing wall provides limitless opportunities for individuals and groups interested in heart-stirring recreational experiences that promote fitness, boost self-esteem, and develop leadership skills. Located in the small gymnasium in Finch Fieldhouse (Room 112), the A-Wall is perfect for the beginning or experienced climber. The A-Wall is open to the public for regular Open Climbing sessions or may be reserved, along with the High Ropes Course​, for team building programs, climbing workshops, and more. ​

Climbing hours and fees 

Open Climbing Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 6 PM -9 PM 

The climbing wall is typically closed the last two weeks of December & May - August during summer break.

Team building activities 

Adventure Seminars offer a variety of team-building initiatives to challenge and unite your group. Team building elements include on the ground cooperative and initiative activities. We also utilize a 12-foot initiative wall, pamper pole and corporate ladder. Team building activities are only available for reserved groups.

Indoor high ropes course 

Soaring high among the rafters and above the A-Wall rock climbing wall, the indoor high ropes course provides great opportunities for team building and group training experiences. Reservations for the indoor high ropes course experience are currently being accepted.

Group rates for 2-hour session (up to 20 participants):

• Rock Climbing: $200
• Rock Climbing & Zip-Line: $250
• Rock Climbing & High Ropes: $300

Release Waiver

For individuals and groups: Before you arrive, please make sure to complete the following: 

• Fill out the online waiver. 
• If arriving in a group, keep track of each member to make certain all participants have filled out the waiver.
