CLO3D Frequently Asked Questions

    A 2019 or newer computer is recommended CLO System Requirements
    3-button mouse (the scroll can work as a third button)
    A second monitor or a tablet is not required but is highly recommended. It will help you learn and work more efficiently. 

    You can access the CLO3D software for free for 30 days   
    If you wish you continue with additional courses, you may select a monthly CLO3D plan

    Content will be delivered asynchronously through recorded lectures and software 
    demonstrations. There will be established virtual office hours to provide additional support.

    Yes. Throughout the course, assignments that help you to learn will need to be 
    submitted. Your assignments will be evaluated by the instructor to ensure that you are developing proficiency with CLO3D.

    To successfully complete the course, you must submit at least 70% of the assignments and receive a satisfactory evaluation on all assignments.

    A CMU badge is a digital, web-enabled version of a credential that is verified online and in real-time. The CLO3D digital badge represents the skills acquired in the specific non-credit experience.

    Representing your skills as a CMU badge gives you a way to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted, and can be easily verified in real-time.

    Where and how can I share my CMU badge?
    You can share your CMU badge directly from the platform to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or email. You can embed the earned badge in a website or in your email signature.

    How does my credential get displayed as a CMU badge?

    CMU partnered with Acclaim to translate the learning outcomes you’ve demonstrated during a CLO 3D course. The technology enables you to manage, share and verify your competencies digitally.

    Do I need to pass the course to earn the CMU badge?
    Yes.  You must meet the requirements in the course to earn the CMU badge.

    Is there a cost for the CMU badge?
    No.

    When do I receive my CMU badge?
    You will receive the CMU badge no more than 14 days after the successful completion of the course.

    After applying, you will receive a Welcome email confirming your application, program details, course options, and pricing. 

    You will then receive a phone call from CMU to register you for the course you want to take and to take payment. If your company is paying for the course for you, we can send them a bill, or take their credit card information. 

    After you have registered for your course, in about 3 days you will receive an email about getting access to a CMU Guest Global ID and the steps to activate it. This will give you access to Blackboard, where the course will be held. 

    You may be eligible for Prior Learning Credit or Credit by Exam for CMU students enrolled in a degree program.
