Teacher Education and Special Education Scholarships
The Department of Teacher & Special Education (TSE) annually offers nearly 85 scholarships to students admitted to the Teacher Education program.
Eligibility and selection criteria
By late February, criteria for eligibility and selection, instructions, and link to application materials are posted on this website. Awards are made for the following academic year.
A TSE faculty committee reviews the applications and sends recipient recommendations to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid reviews the recommendations to verify eligibility. Recipients are then informed by an email letter they are being recommended for a scholarship.
Steps to apply
1. Before you apply, review the criteria for each scholarship. Some scholarships require that you are admitted to the teacher education program, additional documentation, or essays.
Please note, that you cannot be admitted to the Teacher Education Program until you complete at least 30 credit hours of coursework.
2. Apply: (The period to apply for 2022-2023 TSE departmental scholarships has closed.)
NOTE: Your application materials will be considered for all TSE scholarships for which you are eligible and have submitted appropriate attachments.
