Welcome to the Office of the Registrar. We provide a range of services for students and administrators at the college of medicine in the areas of academic records, student status, registration, enrollment, transcripts and degree verification.

Brian Slenski, M.S., assistant registrar

As the assistant registrar, Brian is responsible for all aspects of the students' educational records, transcripts, enrollment verification, licensing services and degree verifications, loan deferments, degree audits, FERPA compliance, veterans’ educational benefits, and other various tasks related to student records.

Transcripts - medical student and alumni

We are happy to provide our students and graduates with copies of their official or unofficial medical school transcripts, as well as verification of graduation.

Official and unofficial transcripts can be ordered online via the Central Michigan University Registrar’s Office. Central Michigan University has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide online ordering of CMU transcripts via Myhub. Ordering a transcript from Myhub is easy, secure, and a more convenient way to order online 24/7. Once a transcript is ordered, it can be tracked through text message or email.

Official transcript requests must be completed online through Myhub. Central Michigan University does not accept transcript requests in person, over the phone, or via email.

NOTE: Students who need a personalized copy of their academic history can access View My Academic History to download a free PDF copy.

Student resources

Enrollment verification serves as documentation of a student's enrollment status at the Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at CMU for a particular term/semester. It is frequently requested to prove enrollment for health insurance and housing agencies.

Letters of good standing are frequently requested to accompany scholarship, Visiting Student Learning Opportunities, etc. application documents.

Students may make an enrollment verification/letter of good standing request by email:

Students admitted to the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) must obtain an enrollment verification form from the NHSC and submit it to the assistant registrar for completion.

Students admitted to an Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program (US Army, Navy, or Air Force) should confirm with their recruiter if enrollment verification is needed.

Requests will be processed within five to seven business days.

Registration in courses is required each term a student is engaged in educational activities, unless the student is on Leave of Absences, withdraws from Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University, or is dismissed. Students are registered each term/semester for courses, clerkships, and electives by the assistant registrar.

Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at CMU students who receive a jury summons with an appearance date falling within their current term/semester of study may request to have their jury duty excused via the Office of the Registrar. When you receive a summons from the court, please follow the steps listed below. Send in your request as early as possible to give our office time to process a letter requesting an excusal from jury duty.

  1. Fill out your juror summons from the court, make a copy, and return the summons as directed.
  2. Make Excusal of Jury Duty Letter request by email to harke1cm@cmich.edu.
  3. A request for excusal letter will be issued to the student, who is responsible for submitting the letter to the court.
  4. Requests will be processed within five to seven business days.
  5. Call the courthouse in advance of the scheduled date on your jury summons to confirm that your request to postpone jury duty was granted. The Office of the Registrar does not guarantee excusal from jury duty. Students should be aware that individual counties/states may not excuse them from jury duty even if a letter is submitted.

Individuals requiring licensure documents or verification of M.D. graduation may send forms or request to cmedreg@cmich.edu. All Graduate Medical Education residency verifications or requests must be sent to CMEDGME@cmich.edu.
