We understand paying for college can be challenging. That's why we offer different scholarships through the School of Engineering and Technology.  

School of Engineering and Technology Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Any incoming or transfer Engineering or Engineering Technology student may apply. Recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must have demonstrated financial need.
  • Eligibility: Any junior or senior, who is a resident of Michigan with a major offered by the School of Engineering and Technology may apply. Transfer students are eligible to apply. Each applicant must have demonstrated service to the School of Engineering and Technology department as well as CMU. Requires satisfactory completion of the scholarship application. Two equal scholarships awarded for one junior and one senior. No minimum GPA required. However, a competitive GPA for all school scholarships is a 3.0. This scholarship is not renewable.
  • About: Established in 1995 by Frank Irgang, CMU '50, and Virginia Irgang for Michigan resident, junior and senior students majoring in industrial engineering and technology. The scholarship is based on full-time enrollment.
  • Amount: Awards of past scholarships have been up to 2 awards of $1,100 each.
  • Renewal: This scholarship is not renewable.
