The George A.L. Gant Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2023 by Kevin '04 and Tanya Vandenberg in loving memory of George A.L. Gant, who passed away in 2020. George changed the world through science, philanthropy and mentorship. George worked at Dow Corning Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He touched the lives of many people and will live on in their hearts and minds forever. The Vandenberg's hope that the InSciTE program will help spark the next mind that can change the world. This non-renewable scholarship will support Undergraduate recipients pursuing a degree within the College of Science and Engineering who have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate financial need. Recipients must be currently pursuing or accepted into the InSciTE Certification Program.
Requirements
- Qualified recipients must be pursuing a degree within the College of Science and Engineering.
- Qualified recipients must be an Undergraduate student.
- Qualified recipients must demonstrate financial need.
- Qualified recipients must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
- Qualified recipients must be currently pursuing or accepted into the InSciTE Certification Program.
- The scholarship is not renewable.
