Bernie Meister Scholarship Application
The Bernie Meister Scholarship recognizes and supports undergraduate STEM students at CMU who have demonstrated academic success and a genuine passion for science.
This $2,000 scholarship is available to students who have completed at least one year of STEM coursework at CMU and are currently enrolled full time in an undergraduate STEM program. Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 and be graduates of a high school located in Midland or Isabella County.
Students who meet these qualifications are invited to apply by submitting a short essay (up to two pages) describing how and why they are interested in science. This essay is a critical part of the application and will be weighted more heavily than GPA, giving students the opportunity to share their curiosity, motivation, and long-term goals in their own voice.
Applications must be submitted by December 1, and the scholarship recipient will be notified by the end of the academic year.
