STEM Scholarship Application
This scholarship was established in 2022 by CMU faculty members Dr. Leela Rakesh, Dr. Anja Mueller, Dr. Lisa Gandy, Dr. Choon Lee, to support and encourage students to complete their degree in a STEM related program. The STEM fund was made possible with the help of many CMU alumni, friends, and family.
Qualifications
- Student must be majoring in or intending to major in any program in the College of Science and Engineering or Neuroscience.
- Student will be an incoming freshman, current freshmen, or sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- First preference will first be given to students who have demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with historically underserved or underprivileged populations, or experience living or working in diverse environments. Of the students meeting the above first preference, preference will then be given to first-generation college students or international students.
- Enrolled students must provide a letter of recommendation.
The scholarship may be renewed up to four times following the initial award.
Timeline
Applications must submitted by March 17. The recipient will be notified by the end of the academic year.
