The School of Music at Central Michigan University is proud to announce the annual Honors String Orchestra designed for talented high school string students! Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

Enhance your students' experiences by exploring the realities of professional performance in both collegiate settings and on stage!

Sample schedule

9:00am-12:00pm — Full rehearsals and sectionals
12:00pm-1:30pm — Lunch (on your own)
1:30pm-4:00pm — Full rehearsals, sectionals
4:00pm-5:00pm — Presentation and Performance
5:00pm-6:30pm — Dinner (on your own)
7:00pm Concert — Featuring CMU faculty, students, and the honors orchestras!
