Chief's welcome

The Central Michigan University Police Department works in partnership with the entire campus community to maintain a safe and secure living and learning environment.  The CMU Police Department includes highly trained State of Michigan-certified police officers who work collaboratively with our community and law enforcement partners.  We are also proud to maintain a 24-hour public safety answering point for emergency and non-emergency calls.

We are a department that is professional, prepared, and proactive.  Through our community policing efforts, we build trust with the community we serve.

I am excited to be the Chief of Police at CMU, and I look forward to what the future holds for our department and this great university.  Planning, educating, and enforcing all play a role in keeping our students, faculty, staff, and visitors safe. That is our number one priority!
