Campus Conversation: Summer Specialty Clinics

Campus Conversations introduce you to the most exciting things that are happening on CMU's campus. 

Engage with our academic leadership, faculty, students, and other alumni throughout a 30-minute presentation followed by a Q&A and discussion.

Theresa Jones and AnnMarie Bates will share insights into Central Michigan University’s Summer Specialty Clinics (SSC) — a long-standing summer day camp that supports children with communication impairments while providing a one-of-a-kind clinical experience for undergraduate and graduate speech-language pathology students. Founded in 1946, SSC continues to serve both campers and the broader community and will proudly celebrate its 80th year on campus in 2026.
