The American Revolution, a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein & David Schmidt, is a six-part series that examines how America's founding turned the world upside-down. The film follows dozens of figures from a wide variety of backgrounds. It draws on 15,000 images, 1,800 maps, 900 archival documents, 700 music cues, 200 individual historic characters, and interviews with leading historians and scholars of the Revolutionary era (and celebrity cameos!).
