Biography

For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to higher education, helping students, partners, and organizations connect with opportunities that transform lives. As Communications Manager for Central Michigan University Online, I focus on telling the stories that matter—stories that inspire, inform, and engage.

I’ve worn many hats in my career, but what has always driven me is a passion for building relationships and creating meaningful experiences. Whether I’m designing digital campaigns, managing social media channels, developing print and online materials, or organizing VIP events, my goal is to make every interaction count. I’m fortunate to work with an incredible team of more than 40 talented individuals, and together we bring CMU’s mission to life in new and innovative ways.

Technology plays a big part in what I do, and I’ve honed my skills with platforms like Slate, Engage CRMs, Sitefinity, and Agorapulse to ensure our communications are impactful and efficient. Beyond the tools and tactics, though, my heart is in the people I serve—students starting their educational journeys, military families balancing service and school, and community members discovering what’s possible through education.

After two decades in this field, I’m still energized by the opportunity to make a difference every day. Education is about opening doors, and I’m proud to play a role in helping others walk through them.
