Summer and Break Housing
Learn more about summer and break housing options and availability at Central Michigan University.
Graduate Housing and Northwest Apartments and the following East Community residence halls stay open during Thanksgiving, semester and spring break periods: Celani, Emmons, Fabiano, Herrig, Saxe and Woldt. Emergency Break Housing is available to students who do not have an alternative place to stay during break due to housing insecurity. Contact the Office of Residence Life at

Summer housing is available to students taking at least one summer class during each session.
Summer housing is available in one premium residence hall and the Graduate Housing apartments. If you are interested in summer housing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to gain access to the housing application.
Summer 2024 housing
Summer 2024 housing information will be available after spring break. The summer 2024 housing application opens Tuesday, March 12 at 9 a.m.

Summer I: (Six weeks) 9 a.m., Sunday, May 14 - 6 p.m., Thursday, June 22
Summer II: (Six weeks) 9 a.m., Sunday, June 25 - 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3
Rates for Summer I or II
(12 weeks) 1 p.m., Sunday, May 14 - 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3
Summer charges will go on the June statement due July 1.
Payments made after 5 p.m. EST are not effective until the following business day. Payments must be received by 5 p.m. on a payment due date or will be considered late and fees may apply.
To pay by electronic check or credit card, log into Centrallink at https://centrallink.cmich.edu/ using your global ID and password and select View/Pay my Bill. Checks made payable to Central Michigan University will be sent to: Central Michigan University, OneCentral, Bovee University Center 119, Mount Pleasant, MI 48859. Please be sure to include the student's name and ID number.
To cancel your summer housing contract, please email email@example.com. Cancellation of the Summer I housing contract after Friday, May 5, will result in a $75 cancellation fee. Cancellation of the Summer II housing contract after Friday, June 16, will result in a $75 cancellation fee.
