CIS studio spotlight: CMU professors take their podcast to the next level with the CIS Podcast Studio

They had previously used a built-in laptop mic to record their episodes, but the CIS Podcast Studio enabled them to record and playback a custom musical intro and easily adjust levels from the broadcast-quality microphones.

After attending a Podcast Studio workshop hosted by CIS Media staff, they booked the studio a few days later and haven’t looked back. Now, most Friday mornings, you’ll find the duo in the Podcast Studio recording, uploading, and publishing their practical and informative podcast for their growing online audience. CIS learning media staff members Alex Mikus and Jacob Tensen have been essential in supporting their efforts, answering questions, and providing guidance along the way.

Below are example episodes, one recorded before using the CIS Podcast Studio and one after.
