Coffee with a Career Coach

Join the Career Development Center live on Facebook for informal discussions about a variety of career topics. Special guests include CMU alumni talking about their career paths, employers sharing tips for the job search, and CMU faculty and staff talking about how to make the most out of your time on campus. Mocktails and Etiquette Dinner

Network with employers, learn about table manners and professional etiquette, and enjoy a great meal! Join the Career Development Center to get ready for professional meals during an upcoming job search, internship, or graduate school interview.

Tying Ties with the President

Have you ever wondered how to correctly tie a tie? Join us for a night of teaching students how to tie ties with President Davies and First Impressions Staff. Free ties will be provided for students to practice and keep to wear in the future!

Employer Spotlight

The Employer Spotlight Program serves to better educate and prepare undergraduate and graduate students as early as their freshman year. Through this program students are provided the opportunity to engage with a featured employer and learn more about the internship and career opportunities available.

Multicultural Career Workshop

The Multicultural Career Workshop is an evening event that provides an intimate opportunity for students to interact with various employers. All attendees will be offered information on the various organization’s mission and what current and prospective opportunities exist. Professional dress encouraged.

JC Penney Suit-Up

What is Suit Up? It is a partnership between CMU and JCPenney to offer CMU students, faculty and staff an opportunity to get career and professional items at a great price. Participants receive an Extra 30% off on the career and professional categories.
