Session details

No Zebras, No Excuses

The “No Zebras, No Excuses” orientation presentation has been part of orientation for students at CMU for over twenty years. Sponsored by SAPA & the Department of Sexual Aggression Services, this powerful program educates on sexual aggression and bystander intervention. The show utilizes video vignettes and a moderator discussion to portray the important issues of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, harassment, and sexual exploitation. It also challenges students to consider how to avoid being a bystander in these situations.

Please note: No Zebras, No Excuses is a scenario-based presentation addressing the issues of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking and harassment.

All incoming first year students are expected to attend this program. If you have any questions or concerns about this expectation or about available support services related to sexual aggression, please reach out to the Executive Director of Counseling Services, Melissa Hutchinson at hutch1m@cmich.edu.  To learn more about SAPA & Sexual Aggression Services, visit www.sapa.cmich.edu.
