Advocacy
As an official office of the university, the Office of LGBTQ+ Services and Gender Equity Programs serves as a hub for innovative and inclusive practices for students with diverse genders and sexualities. Our Director serves on several committees and groups on campus to ensure the voices of LGBTQ+ people, women, and other historically marginalized communities are not lost. Our Director strives to ensure that students impacted by homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, and gender-based violence receive access to the same quality of education and college experience as the rest of their peers.
The Director strongly encourages any students experiencing inequity, discrimination, harassment, or any experience that impedes their ability to succeed at CMU to get in touch.
