Biography

Dr. Claudine Salgado is a Finance Lecturer at Central Michigan University. She holds a PhD in Management from Heriot-Watt University, UK, and a MSc in Accounting and Finance. Her teaching experience spans finance, accounting, and management at undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA levels in the UK, Brazil, and the UAE. She also worked in the banking sector for 10 years, specializing in risk management, internal controls, audit, and compliance. Her research focuses on corporate governance, gender diversity on boards, and the effects of ESG reporting on various aspects of firm performance. She aims to create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that bridges academic theory with real-world application.
