Why choose a nonprofit leadership certificate at CMU?
Earning a nonprofit leadership certificate prepares you to guide organizations that are dedicated to improving the world. You’ll develop skills you can apply in the public and nonprofit sectors.
Through 12 hours of required courses, you’ll receive advanced training in program analysis and evaluation, management, budgeting and finance, executive leadership and handling personnel.
The certificate is open to graduate students who are not currently seeking a master’s degree. You may apply your course credits earned toward a master of public administration degree at a later date.

As a student getting their nonprofit leadership certificate, you'll:

Completion of this graduate certificate will satisfy the academic component of the CNP and prepare students to take the CNP exam.
