Apartments

We provide three distinct apartment communities, each with its own unique setup and feel, for second-year students, non-traditional students, students with families and graduate students. These communities offer conveniences such as paid utilities, a quick and close walk to classes and spacious living accommodations.

Northwest Apartments

Eligibility

  • Students who have lived in the residence halls for at least two full academic years.
  • Transfer students.
  • The applicant must be a full-time Central Michigan University student.

Northwest Apartments offer one- and two-bedroom units. The units have the following basic items:

  • Each bedroom contains a full-size bed and dresser.
  • All living rooms contain a sofa, end table and coffee table.
  • Northwest Apartments have community laundry rooms for the exclusive use of residents.
  • Kitchen/dining room includes a table and chairs.

Linens, bedding, shower curtain, lamps, rugs, dishes and other personal articles are not furnished in any of the apartments. There are no storage facilities available other than inside the individual apartments.

Kewadin Village

Eligibility

  • Student and spouse with their children living with them.
  • Single student living with child/children.
  • Student and spouse without children.
  • Student living with child/children and a roommate approved by the Office of Residence Life.
  • Single graduate students.
  • The applicant must be a full-time Central Michigan University student.
  • Student's spouse and children must all occupy the assigned unit. Children listed on the application must be physically present. Housing is provided only for the student, spouse and their children. Any change in immediate family must be reported in writing to the Office of Residence Life within 10 days after the change occurs.
  • Please note: Kewadin Village will not be available after May 7, 2022.

Kewadin Village Apartments offer two- and three-bedroom partially and unfurnished units. The partially furnished units have the following basic items:

  • In a one-bedroom apartment, there is a full-size bed and dresser. In the two- and three-bedroom apartments, only one bedroom is furnished.
  • All living rooms have a sofa, end table and coffee table.
  • Kewadin Village apartments have a community laundry room for the exclusive use of residents.

Linens, bedding, shower curtain, lamps, rugs, dishes and other personal articles are not furnished in any of the apartments. There are no storage facilities available other than inside the individual apartments.

Graduate Housing

Eligibility

  • Single, graduate students
  • The applicant must be a full-time Central Michigan University student

Graduate apartments offer one-, two- and four-bedroom air-conditioned units. The units have the following basic items:

  • Each bedroom contains a queen-size bed, dresser, mirror, desk and desk chair.
  • All living rooms include a couch, chair, end table, and coffee table.
  • Kitchen/dining room includes a table and chairs in the one- and four-bedroom units. Two-bedroom units have a raised counter with bar stools.
  • Full kitchens feature polished granite countertops and backsplash, stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, range with oven, countertop microwave oven, range hood, sink, dishwasher and built-in pantry with recycling center.
  • Each unit contains a laundry room with a side-by-side, full-sized Energy Star rated washer and dryer.

Linens, bedding, shower curtain, lamps, rugs, dishes and other personal articles are not furnished in any of the apartments. There are no storage facilities available other than inside the individual apartments.
