GSA and WORK-STUDY – CMU Bookstore – Seeks Student Assistant
Duties Include:  Attend to customers; answer the phone, run a cash register; receive merchandise; stock shelves; pull, process, and pack online orders; work events.
Skills Desired
: Good communication and listening skills, valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs., ability to stand for long periods of time, dependability, and willingness to learn new tasks.
Schedule
: Mon - Fri, 8a-5p; Summer, up to 40 hrs/wk. Position continues into the Academic Year, up to 20 hrs/wk.

WORK-STUDY and GSA – Central Sustainability (GES) – Seeks Garden Coordinator
Duties Include:  Ensure there are no issues with the facilities on site by performing regular assessments of the area and seeking input from gardeners. Manage the appearance of the campus garden through regular weeding of paths and attention to the garden plots that are being used. Be easily available through email with quick response times while upholding professionalism. Communicate efficiently with members of faculty and staff during the summer to provide updates and questions if issues arise. Provide support to members of the CMU campus garden by communicating and being a friendly presence at the site.
Skills Desired
: Must have sufficient knowledge about gardening, prior experience in customer service, and great communication skills via email and face-to-face.
Schedule
: Flexible hours. This role is physically based in Mt. Pleasant, requiring between 6-10 hours per week. There are indoor and outdoor responsibilities, but you are expected to be on site 3 days each week.

WORK-STUDY – College of Health Professions Dean’s Office – Seeks Student Assistant
Duties Include:  Sort and deliver mail; assist with copy machines by delivering and refilling with paper; assist in event set-up and teardown for College of Health Professions events; move furniture and equipment to/from storage locations; run on-campus deliveries; monitor and remove flyers from tackboards; complete classroom chair counts; report building issues, i.e., holes in walls, carpet spills, etc.; general office duties including occasional Excel spreadsheets; other duties as assigned.
Skills Desired
: Ability to lift 40 lbs., courteous and professional demeanor; ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and confidentiality; ability to work independently and complete duties with minimal direct supervision. Must be self-motivated, reliable and have a good work ethic.
Schedule
: 8 hrs/wk (approximately 1½ hrs/day Mon-Fri) after 1 PM. Based on performance, this position may be extended into the academic year.

GSA and WORK STUDY - CMU Libraries
Located within the Charles V Park Library building, the University Library and the Clarke Historical Library offer flexible hours, a variety of responsibilities, and a desirable work environment.
