WORK-STUDY – Geography & Environmental Studies – Seeks Student Assistant
Duties Include:  Answer and direct phone calls; copy, file, scan; assist with special projects; type documents and flyers; sort and distribute mail; campus errands/deliveries; stock/order supplies; other tasks as necessary to support faculty, staff, and visitors.
Skills Desired
: Must qualify for Work Study. Must have excellent language/communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others.
Schedule
: M-F 8:00-5:00, up to 40 hours depending on work study eligibility.

GSA – College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences – Seeks Camp Assistant
Duties Include:  Support international middle school students during a four-week summer camp hosted on CMU’s campus. Assist instructors in classroom sessions focused on English language and cultural learning. Supervise and participate in camp activities including games, field trips, and evening events. Help manage student movement between dorms, dining, classrooms, and excursions. Foster a welcoming, safe, and kind environment for all campers.
Skills Desired
: Enthusiastic attitude and strong communication skills. Dependability, patience, and cultural sensitivity. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and independently as needed. Prior experience working with youth or in an educational setting is a plus.
Schedule: July 15 – August 11. Flexible shifts between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Total hours worked negotiable. Evening and weekend availability required. Must be based in Mt. Pleasant during camp dates.

GSA – College of Medicine – Seeks Research Assistant – Rural Teens Health Study
Duties Include:  Data Collection/Protocol Adherence: Travel to local high schools to conduct in-person study visits, Measure height/weight, perform finger prick blood tests, guide students through survey completion. Communication: coordinate with project coordinator, PI and school personnel. Trainings & Meetings: Attend training in June-July (required) actual site visits August-October. Specimen Handling: prepare and ship blood samples.
Skills Desired
: Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with teens in a school setting. Interest in health-related research and working with human participants. Reliable, punctual, and organized. Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation is required. Must pass a background check (mandatory to work with students at Shepherd High School). Prior experience in research, healthcare, or working with youth is a plus.
Schedule
: Trainings in June/July (required). Monday–Friday mornings (during the school year).
