​Getting help:

Blackboard support is provided by the CMU Help Desk. For assistance dial 989.774.3662 or toll-free 800.950.1144 ext. 3662. In the event the Help Desk staff is unable to resolve your blackboard-related issue, it will be escalated to the Blackboard Resource Group for resolution. A member of the resource group will make contact to provide a resolution or gather additional information usually within one working day.

The Blackboard Resource Group:

This CMU group is comprised of members from CMU's Global Campus, Faculty Center for Innovative Teaching, and Office of Information Technology. This groups makes recommendations regarding the use of course management systems (currently Blackboard), the overall look of Blackboard at CMU, and the timing and testing of system upgrades. If you have any questions regarding administrative aspects of Blackboard or for general technical support contact the CMU Help Desk at 989.774.3662.

Training Opportunities​

The Blackboard Resource Group offers periodic training and faculty development ​sessions with regard to Blackboard. The most up to date list of training sessions can be found on the FaCIT website. Current and future online instructors are also encouraged to participate in workshops offered by CMU's Global Campus. A current list of workshops can be found here.​​​​
