JADA BROWN (She/Her) 

University Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library for one semester 
Degree: Bachelor of Science 
Major/Minor: English/Creative Writing Certificate 
Future Plans: Working at a publishing company  
Favorite Memory: “Finding books for the Black History Month display case and setting up the display.” 
Favorite Space in the Libraries: 1 North Study Room  
A fun fact: “I was originally going to study zoology but decided not to because I learned that I’m not a big fan of traveling outdoors. So, reading about animals is more my thing. If you want a random animal fact, just ask me.” 


AUBREY DICKENS (She/Her) 

University Libraries Department: Business Services (Exhibitions) and Clarke Historical Library since 2021
Degree: Bachelor of Fine Arts
Major/Minor: Design and Technical Theatre/Museums Studies
Future Plans: Work in a library or museum
Favorite Memory: “Reading through 160-year-old diaries at the Clarke. I found a clump of hair from the husband of a diary owner.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The third floor reading room
Fun Fact: “I have the same personality as Willy Wonka; ENFP-T.”


KOUSHAL GALIPALLY (He/Him)  

Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library since April 2022
Degree:  Master of Science in Information Systems
Major/Minor: Business Data Analytics and Business Administration
Future Plans: Plans to pursue a career as a Data Engineer and Data Scientist
Favorite Memory: “My favorite memory of the library is starting a day with team meetings with team members sharing our progress of work. I witnessed, and was part of, the installation of a new Phase One camera and powerful computer at the Clarke Historical Library. I also like the brownies and cookies that are sometimes in the conference room.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: “My favorite space in the library is my workstation and the stacks because they are quiet and beautiful.”
A fun fact: “I have the best dog named Simba (GSD) that looks like a lion cub.”


KATIE HIGLEY (She/Her)  

University Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library since October 2020
Degree: Bachelor of Science
Major/Minor: Public History/Museum and Cinema Studies
Future Plans: “I will be attending graduate school at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for my MS in Library and Information Science.”
Favorite Memory: “A favorite memory of working at the library has been processing film, especially when we have been able to finish a whole box of rolls.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: “I have loved working with film at the Clarke. Working with film at the Clarke has directly impacted my future plans as I know I want to be a moving image archivist. I thank the Clarke for helping me find my interest and allowing me to become a successful academic as I was able to present on the film project multiple times. I will also have a paper published in an academic journal because of my time at the Clarke.”
A fun fact: “I have a black cat named Eliza. She is named after Eliza Hamilton from the Hamilton musical.”


ALEKYA KAJA (She/Her)

University Libraries Department: Access Services since September 2021
Degree: Master of Science in Information Systems
Major/Minor: Project Management/Data Analytics
Future Plans: Pursue a career as a Data Scientist
Favorite Memory: “I still remember a day in September 2021. We saved the life of a girl who was having difficulty breathing. She had asthma and bronchitis and didn’t have an inhaler at the time. I was at the checkout desk and Tony went out for lunch. I just ran from there with a water bottle and offered small remedies to relax her. That was a lifesaving moment for me and her friends. She still comes and thanks me for being helpful.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: “My workstation at the checkout desk. Lots of learning and emotions at this place. I interact with many people here and learn interesting things here.”
A fun fact: “I like going for long car rides, but I don’t know how to drive.”


NOVA MOORE (They/Them) 

University Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library since 2021
Degree: Bachelor of Science
Major/Minor: Physics, Mathematics, and Music Performance
Future Plans: “I have accepted a post-baccalaureate fellowship at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in computational plasma physics.”
Favorite Memory: “I loved creating displays for the exhibit hallway case.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: Baber Room 


VALERIE SCHAFER (She/Her)  

University Libraries Department: Acquisitions and Resource Management since September 2019
Degree: Bachelor of Science
Major/Minor: Statistics and Psychology/Mathematics
Future plans: “Move back to my hometown and begin my career in actuarial work at Auto-Owners.”
Favorite Memory: “My favorite memory of working at the library was participating in an eye tracking study freshman year when the library website was redesigned.  Using the eye tracking glasses was a unique and fascinating experience.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: “I enjoyed studying and reading by the windows in the Mary Dow Reading Room the most. The quiet environment was cozy and relaxing, and I loved being able to look out over Fabiano Gardens.”


ALLISON SPENS (She/Her) 

University Libraries Department: Systems since September 2022
Degree: Bachelor of Applied Arts
Major/Minor: Integrative Public Relations/Music
After Graduation: Completing her post-grad internship at Airfoil in Royal Oak
Future Plans: Pursue a career in public relations
Favorite Memory: “My favorite memory of working at the library was just meeting new people and seeing the creative pieces they were creating with Adobe products.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The Mary Dow Reading Room
A fun fact: “I was a member of the Central Michigan Marching Band for 3 years!”


ANIRUDH SRINIVASAN (He/Him)  

Libraries Department: Access and Users Services since August 2022
Degree:  Master of Science in Information Systems
Major/Minor: Information Systems/Data Analytics
Future Plans: Pursue a career in Data Analytics
Favorite Memory: “Helping patrons and students was always a great feeling; it gave me a sense of accomplishment. Shelving with my coworkers was always a pleasure. I created a lot of memories doing it.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: “Room 222, the SBO office. The place always felt like home. I loved spending time there with my friends.”
A fun fact: “Keep it simple and enjoy the company!!!”


NICK WRIGHT (He/Him) 

University Libraries Department: Clarke Historical Library since 2021
Degree:  Bachelor of Science
Major/Minor: Computer Science/Multimedia Design
Future Plans: “My ultimate aim is to work as a software developer creating innovative solutions for my future employer.”
Favorite Memory: “My favorite memories working at the Clarke has to be installing new exhibits and displays.”
Favorite Space in the Libraries: The stacks in the Clarke
A fun fact: “I am a triplet.”


RAM YARAMALA (He/Him)  

University Libraries Department: Access and Users Services since the fall of 2022.

Future Plans: “I want to work in the same field as a reporting analyst.”
Favorite Memory: “Every day offers new learning experiences for me by interacting with students.”

A fun fact: “I want to lower my expenses but by the end of the day it gets more than I expect.”
